Summer time is here once again and we are all booking our holidays and flights, trying on bikinis, and deciding which shoes to take with us, after all footwear is a very important decision to make. Shoes are essential wear for every outfit and you do not only have to think about which shoes go with which outfit but whether they are comfortable or not, and whether they need to be comfortable or if fashion should over rule comfort.
A lot of airlines today are limiting the amount of luggage weight you can take with you, you can of course buy more luggage allowance but for those who are on a tight budget you will want to stick within the maximum to avoid charges. For this reason the idea of throwing everything into your suitcase is no longer a good way of packing, you have to pre sort what outfits to take and what shoes you will need so you are not taking more than you need and paying for it.
Holiday shoes cover a range of different types of shoes; here is a look at some of the different shoes that are good for holidays:
Sandals / Flip Flops - the absolute must for holiday shoes, presuming it is a hot holiday destination. They are worn pretty much everyday of your holiday, going to the beach, around the pool, in the apartment, walking around town and the village during the day in the hot weather.
Wedges - wedged shoes are another type of holiday shoes that cannot be left out. They are light, give you height, elongate the legs and scream holiday and summertime. They are versatile in that they go with dresses, skirts, jeans, and trousers thus one pair of shoes can suit 4 different outfits and they look fabulous.
Dress Shoes - when taking dress shoes be sure they are comfortable. Some dress shoes we wear at home on a night out are bearable for a few hours but on holiday it's a different story. You usually end up walking more on holiday than you do at home and with the heat your feet can swell up, add this combination to an uncomfortable pair of stilettos and it equals a lot of pain and probably having to go home early.
