Make your Child’s current backpack new
Step 1: Spread a piece of cloth over the table or floor to keep the area clean.
Step 2: Help your child decide how her backpack should look: Would she like her name written inside a big star? Or would she prefer a row of her favorite animals marching across the top of her pack?
Step 3: To make stencils, ask your child to draw hearts, stars, animals, or other shapes and designs on construction paper.
Step 4: Now help her cut the shapes out carefully. Once the shapes have been cut out, you can use the leftover paper as stencils.
Step 5: Place the stencils on the pack and have your child dab the paint or glitter glue into the cut-out shapes.
Step 6: Or, place magnetic letters and other small, flat toys on the backpack. Use a marker to trace the designs. Then fill in the shapes with paint or glitter glue.
Step 7: Finally Instead of an old, plain backpack, your child has a colorful new one.
