- The National Black MBA Association offers a variety of scholarships to both graduate and undergraduate students pursuing degrees related to business. Undergraduate scholarships are valued at $1,000. Graduate scholarships are awarded in amounts that range from $1,000 to $15,000. The NBMBAA also offers Collegiate Chapter Scholarships of up to $5,000 to undergraduate students. Graduate students may apply online; undergraduate students must apply through their university or local chapter.
- Black men pursuing a Ph.D. in marketing should consider applying for the Valuing Diversity Ph.D. Scholarship, available from the American Marketing Association Foundation. This scholarship is valued at $1,000. To be eligible, an applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and must have already completed at least one year of his program. The annual deadline for application is June 14.
- The LAGRANT Foundation offers scholarships to African American males pursuing business-related degrees. Undergraduate applicants are eligible to receive $5,000 scholarships, and graduate applicants are eligible for awards of $10,000. To be eligible, undergraduate applicants must have a GPA of at least 2.75, and graduate applicants must have a GPA of at least 3.2. Only U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible. Applications are available online. The annual deadline for application is February 28.
- The National Association of Black Accountants offers scholarships not only to accounting majors but to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing careers in all areas of business. To be eligible, an applicant must be an active NABA student member. The NABA awards approximately 40 to 70 scholarships each year, ranging in value from $1,000 to $10,000.
