Hi, my name is Tiana Brooks. I'm a Healthy Hair Specialist and today, I'm going to show you how to do African-American braiding. What we're going to do is part off about an inch of hair; we're going to make a square pattern. Separate each strand into three; we have our right, middle and left strand. Basically, what we're going to do is just bring our left and right strand over to the middle strand. So, let's begin. So, I'm using my index finger and I'm taking my right, my right strand and I'm going to swing it over to the left side. And then, I'm going to do the same for the left hand, I'm just going to bring over my right strand. So, it's like a crisscross effect. So, I'm just braiding down as I go and I just bring it over the left and the right section up underneath the middle section. And I'll braid all the way down, you just stop at the middle if you want and tie a knot; they will be like a tie zillion braid or you can just continue to braid all the way down to the ends of the hair. Once again, you're just bringing your left and right strand under the middle strand. So, once you're done and you braid it to the end, you can just tie it off or you can just put a rubber band on it. That's it. I just showed you how to do African hair braiding. My name is Tiana, if you would like more information about me, you can visit ehow.com. Thank you for watching.
