- 1). Power on your computer and open up a word processing program, such as Microsoft Office. If you do not have one, you can download and install the free OpenOffice program, or just use one of the standard text applications that come with PCs and Macs such as Notepad, Wordpad or TextEdit.
- 2). Open a new document and type "Bill of Sale" at the top of the document. As you create the bill of sale, you will need to have lines or sections for the date, the seller's name and address, the buyer's name and address, the purchase price, the vehicle details and signatures from each party.
- 3). Print out the bill of sale once you have created it. The seller and the buyer should fill in their names and addresses. The vehicle make, model, year and VIN (vehicle identification number) should also be entered on the form, as well as the date of the sale and the sales price. Each party should sign the form at the bottom.
