- 1). Click "Start." Windows XP users then click "Run."
- 2). Type "msconfig" into the prompt that appears.
- 3). Choose the "Startup" tag in the window that appears.
- 4). Uncheck the process representing Norton 360, then click "OK." You should be able to locate the process based on the command path. (The one that says Symantec or Norton 360.)
