A brand new service has been introduced to the Park Rotana Hotel in Abu Dhabi allowing guests to check-out of the rooms and check-in to their flights using self-service kiosks.
The service allows travellers enjoying Abu Dhabi holidays at the hotel to directly check-in for their flights, print their boarding passes and tag their luggage at the hotel. Passengers will then take their tagged bags to Abu Dhabi International Airport where they can be dropped off; just as simple as that.
The Abu Dhabi Airport Company (ADAC) has launched the new service for the first time in a hotel and it is hoping to introduce it to several more major Abu Dhabi hotels and commercial venues in the city in the near future.
Vice President of Operations at Abu Dhabi international Airport at ADAC, Harib Al Hameli, said: ADAC continuously seeks opportunities to develop its services and provide state of the art facilities to all passengers. With the introduction of these new kiosks at Park Rotana we hope to provide an even easier travelling experience for our customers from Abu Dhabi International Airport that is unique every step of the way.
By using the remote check-in service, tourists on Abu Dhabi holidays will have more time to relax and enjoy the last few hours of their trip after they have checked into their Abu Dhabi flights with Etihad Airways, KLM, Air France, or Jet Airways.
Corporate Vice President Information Technology for Rotana, Samir Abi Frem, commented: We are very enthusiastic about this project and to be working with ADAC to launch this innovative service from our hotels using technology to push our business boundaries. The introduction of self-service check-in kiosks in our properties will definitely take the overall guest experience as well as our competitive edge to a new level.
Park Rotana Hotels new service is the third remote check-in facility to be launched by ADAC for Abu Dhabi International Airport. The first facility was the City Check-in at the Tourist Club area in Abu Dhabi City in 2001, and the Expo Check-in was introduced to the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in March this year.
The five-star Park Rotana has 318 rooms and suites exquisitely equipped with luxury furnishings and modern amenities including satellite TV, mini-bar, wireless Internet, tea and coffee facilities, in-room safe, complimentary newspapers and 24-hour room service.
During holidays to Abu Dhabi, guests can enjoy the hotels facilities including a choice of gourmet restaurants and elegant bars; an outdoor swimming pool with pool bar; the Bodylines Health & Fitness Centre; a flood-lit tennis court; six treatment rooms; separate female and male saunas, steam room and relaxation area; and several meeting rooms and ballrooms.
