However, oral steroids are known to have some vital side effects and hence they are prescribed only in extreme cases.

  1. Those suffering from chronic sinus are advised to lie down on their sides so that breathing is easy.
  2. In take of hot drinks and a lot of liquid diet is a must.
  3. Inhale steam through a vaporizer.
  4. Hold a warm and wet cloth on your face.
  5. Decongestants are recommended but prolonged use of it could aggravate the situation.
    Doctors say that decongestants must not be used for more that three days.
  6. Do not try to deal with chronic sinus problems on your own.
    Visit your doctor immediately and take the prescribed medication without fail to avoid further complications.
