Based on the Twelve Days Of Christmas, a T-Shirt business in the Black Country known as TeeT Shirts have produced 'The Black Country Christmas Song'.

Based in the little Black Country town of Cradley Heath TeeT Shirts have used local Black Country Dialect and Black Country humour to completely change the traditional song and make their own local Black Country version.

What do these Black Country words and phrases mean in English?

12.Twelve Stripey Oss'es means that there are twelve zebras.

Zebras are not native to the Black Country, however, you can only find the phrase stripey oss'es in the Black Country.

11.Eleven Bost 'Ondbags translates as eleven broken handbags. At christmas we often feel the need to shop til our bags burst or handles break.

10.Ten Local Tay Shirts has reference to the local T-Shirt shop, that being TeeT Shirts where you can find Black Country T-Shirts.

9.Nine Bags Of Scratchings refers to the local food, that being Pork Skin which consists of salted lumps of pig fat, skin and hairs in a packet. mmmmm

Random things refers to the random traditions we associate with Christmas like kissing under the mistletoe, christmas pudding with brandy on it, christmas turkey or goose, eating chocolate oranges on an evening or your Aunty Margaret getting drunk in front of the fire every year. Every family has their own ways of celebrating Christmas but it's mostly based around random christmas tradition that many folk don't understand the reasons behind them.

4.Four Pints Of Bitter, one of the most popular drinks in the area especially around Christmas time! Four pints of Banks's!

3.Four Sacks Of Taters means four sacks of potatoes! Refering to plenty of mash with Christmas dinner turkey.

2.Two Lovely Faggots. Faggots are traditionally from the Black Country area, most locals think faggots are lovely in the tummy.
