- In Oklahoma, your vehicle's tag registration fee is based on how many years you have registered your vehicle in the state. As of the date of publication, the fee for noncommercial vehicles is $91 for first- through fourth-year registrations; $81 in the fifth through eighth year; $61 for the 9th through 12th year; $41 for the 13th through 16th year and $21 for registrations after the 17th year. Motorcycles fees are $4 higher for each year. If you renew your tag by mail, there is an additional $3 processing fee.
- Title fees in Oklahoma are less complicated than tag fees. A standard title is $11 for all noncommercial cars, while junked car titles are $4.
- If you purchased a noncommercial vehicle in another state but want to register the vehicle in Oklahoma, you will be charged an excise fee at the time of title registration. This is not the case for newcomers to Oklahoma who have previously titled the vehicle in their home state. If the vehicle is new, the excise fee is 3.25 percent of the vehicle's purchase price. Used vehicles are taxed $20 of the first $1,500 of the vehicle's purchase price and 3.25 percent on the remaining purchase price of the vehicle.
- If you are a military veteran, disabled veteran or a physically disabled driver operating a modified vehicle, you qualify for an Oklahoma tag registration discount, regardless of the vehicle's registration year. Military personnel are charged a tag registration fee of $21 per year; disabled veterans pay $5 per year and disabled drivers $31.
