Cut a piece of ribbon twice as long as your dowel. Tie one of the end of the ribbon onto one end of the dowel. Secure it with a generous amount of glue. Tie a pom-pom, very tightly, to the other end of the ribbon.
Now, you can fish for your pet! Your pet will have fun chasing the pom-pom around the room. For a little variety you can tie an appropriate pet toy to the end of the ribbon.
