- Invite students and their families to get photographs taken. You can have the group members paint a background to use. A point and shoot digital camera is suitable to take basic photographs. You also may want to give students and families the opportunity to get their photo taken with the club or sport's team.
- Hold a dance off in the gymnasium. Each couple or individual will pay an entry fee to get into the event. Couples get eliminated one-by-one when they cannot dance any longer. Members holding the fundraiser can bake goods to sell during the dance off and local bands could also be invited to the event. They can alternate playing and pay a small entry fee to get their band heard during the night.
- You can try a basic raffle where each student sells tickets to others including their family members. Advertise the raffle using posters and by word of mouth. Charge an affordable price for each ticket, such as $1 for one or $2 for three to encourage more sales. Offer prizes that cater to teens such as an mp3 player. Allow the raffle to continue for one or two weeks to get adequate sales.
- A marathon is an effective way to encourage teens to raise money. Each member of the fundraising team can get donations from their relatives or friends and pledge for each mile they walk or run. The members of the group can participate and they can also solicit other friends and family to walk or run. Collect a set amount for each mile that you pledge to run or walk.
- During the holidays you may want to set up a gift wrapping station at a mall or boutique. Many people do not have the time or patience to wrap gifts and would be willing to pay a small fee for the service. Teenagers frequently have time off from school around the holidays or may be able to gift wrap in the evenings after school.
