How many times have you been told to stay quite about your beliefs because they were afraid that it might "offend" someone? Chances are, you have experienced this at some point.
Being conservative in liberal San Francisco, this seems like a way of life.
I have often wondered how we even came to this sad state of affairs, where we are always seen as the intolerant ones.
Hell, living here in San Francisco has shown me just how intolerant the leftists here are.
Give me liberty or give me death.
(Oh my God, he said, "death").
That was once a motto of ours.
Now, people are so socially mortified of ANY form of criticism, that they are content to live with, "Could you please give me a little liberty, that is, as long as it doesn't offend anyone, or give me the opportunity to run with my tail between my legs.
" Being on the offense doesn't win you over as many friends as being an acclaim seeking sponge, but with friends like the ones who tell us to remain PC, who needs Al Qaida? It would be a slightly different story if both sides wanted to curve their insults so as not to offend each other, but this is a pure fantasy.
The left always vilifies those with the slightest allegiance to God and country.
What often bugs me are the people who are supposed to be on your side telling you to be quiet.
As a republican, I have been urged to hush by fellow republicans regarding my views on abortion.
I think it's wrong.
No ifs, ands or buts about it.
I'll go one step further and say that it is very possibly murder.
But no, I have to be sensitive to everyone while some self righteous people, Republicans and Democrats alike, get to revile those who oppose this barbaric practice.
They can call me an simpleton, and I have to hold my tongue.
It's time for America to re-grow it's spine.
For decades, the left has spent every waking moment trying to convince us that our desire to succeed is wrong, that we are an "evil empire" hell bent on world domination, that we are too stupid to protect ourselves from the "big bad corporations" so we must, instead, have the government monitor and rule our lives.
They have convinced you that crimes are never committed by anyone other than white people, because if you think otherwise, you are a racist and a bigot.
We have been suffering under the oppressive and defamatory language of those who worship at the altar of socialism and class warfare.
Well, enough is enough.
I refuse, as every red blooded American should, to cater to the left.
By staying silent, you are doing nothing more than silently agreeing with them.
You are allowing only their view to be heard, and when you do that, you admit to the world that their view is more valid than yours.
We may have a long road ahead, and to be honest, I am only optimistic to a point.
Can we save our nation and turn back the tide? I believe so, and I think you do to.
Best Regards,
