Day Out at the Beach

There are several Newquay beaches where you can enjoy a fun filled day while you are in Newquay.
The first thing to do while planning your holidays is to book one of the spacious holiday cottages in Newquay.
The holiday cottages are located near the beach and are also near many of the popular tourist attractions in Newquay.
If you are planning to spend quite a lot of time at the beautiful Newquay beaches during your holidays, then it is best you make a list of the popular Newquay beaches.
Many of the Newquay beaches are great for surfing and if you have never surfed before, you should take some lessons and start surfing before your holidays end.
Here are some of the most popular Newquay beaches you can consider visiting during your holidays here.
Little Fistral Little Fistral is one of the Newquay beaches where you can surf at low tide.
This is a small beach and is suitable for surfing when the tide is low but not when the tide is high.
If you are planning to surf at this beach, you will need to be careful of the strong rips.
Little Fistral has paid parking where you can park your car.
Toilets are available but there are no lifeguards on the beach.
However, during summer there are lifeguards patrolling on jet skis.
If you plan to spend a day at this beach, you will need to pack a nice picnic basket as there are no cafes or restaurants at the beach.
Towan Beach Towan Beach is one of the smallest Newquay beaches.
But don't let size deter you from spending some time at this beach.
Though it is small it is one of the best places to learn surfing which is why this beach is always crowded.
If you are a beginner and are just learning to surf, this is the perfect place for you.
Some of the facilities at Towan Beach are clean toilets, shops and lifeguards.
Parking is available in town.
This is a great place for those who want to spend the day surfing.
You will however need to watch out for harbour seals while you are surfing.
Though it is a small beach it is one of the beaches you must visit while you are on holiday in Newquay.
The capital of any surfer's world has got to be Fistral Beach! The birthplace of the sport in the UK, Fistral is still the scene of some of the world's biggest surfing events and contests.
In short, Fistral Beach is THE place for a beach holiday in Newquay
