Use the TV Station's FCC Licensing Information

• 1). Go to the "TV Query" web page on the FCC website. (See the link in the Resources.)
  
  
• 2). Enter the TV station's identification call letters in the "Call Sign" box. If you do not know the station's call letters, click the "State" drop-down menu and select the state the TV station broadcasts in, type the broadcast city in the "City" box. Press "Enter" on the keyboard to submit the query.
  
  
• 3). Click on the link designated to the TV station you are inquiring about. This will open up the FCC licensing information page for the selected TV station.
  
  
• 4). Locate and click on the "ASRNs within 0.5 km radius" link next to the "URS" heading on the page. This will bring up the station's ARS registration information.
  
  
• 5). Look under the "Antenna Structure" section. The television station's broadcast tower's latitude and longitude coordinates are listed here; in addition to the tower's street address (listing the street, city, and state where the station's broadcast tower is located).
  
  

Using the Broadcast Tower's Latitude and Longitude Coordinates

• 1). Go to the "TVFool" signal locator web page (see the link in the Resources).
  
  
• 2). Enter any local address located within the TV broadcast area you are inquiring about. Press "Enter" to submit the query. This will bring up a list of all of the TV stations within broadcast range of the address you specified.
  
  
• 3). Scroll through the list to locate the specific TV station you want to know about. Next to each TV station listing is the approximate number of miles that station's broadcast tower is located from the address you entered in step 2; along with the compass heading to the TV tower in relation to the same address.
  
  
• 4). Click on the station link to also view the TV broadcast tower's latitude and longitude coordinates. Make a note of it.
  
  
• 5). Go to the Google Maps website (see the link in the Resources). Enter the latitude coordinates you noted in step 4 into the Google Maps search box. Insert a comma; then a space; then enter the tower's longitude coordinates. For example, "42.302876, -71.218110." Press "Enter" to learn the street address of the broadcast tower.
