I love to cook.
It's one of my favorite things to do, and is a direct consequence of my great love for food and for eating.
There is just an enjoyable feeling whenever I get to prepare all the wonderful ingredients and be able to combine them into one delicious meal after another.
My family simply could not get over my cooking, and whenever there is a gathering or a reunion, I am always one of those tasked to be busy in the kitchen.
Even when I became a vegan and changed my diet completely, I was still considered to be in demand in the kitchen.
My shift to veganism took a lot by surprise.
I have been known to love food so much and I must admit that I am very partial to eating meat.
That started way back and was directly influenced by my family.
We are all great lovers of food, and have eventually had a tendency to be overweight.
In my case, I'm not what you could call obese, but I have been a bit weight challenged the last few years.
I started to realize, over a year ago, that change was inevitable, and so I researched the possibilities that are open for me.
I chanced upon veganism upon the Internet, and it immediately caught my attention.
There is something so logical about what it was saying, and I just thought that it was the best lifestyle that anyone could have.
There are just too many positives about it, in my opinion.
So off I went, and gradually took the challenge of completely changing my diet.
I'm proud to say that I finally succeeded in becoming in becoming a full-time vegan, and I also learned some of he gourmet dishes that are for vegans.
Those are the same dishes that I now cook for friends and family, and has become a hit even for non-vegans.
