Horse Training Your Horse

When horse training your horse, you always want to remember to be patient.
It may take longer than you want for your horse to understand what it is that you are trying to do.
You have to remember that it is about the horse and not you.
When the horse understands what you are trying to do, it will do it.
It is ultimately up to your horse.
If it takes them longer to understand what it is you are doing, its ok.
It is better for you to be patient and let the horse get it, then for you to get angry or impatient.
After all, all the horse is trying to do is understand what you want from it.
At times you may have a horse that experiences bad habits.
Almost every horse has some type of bad habit.
Do research on the habit.
Decide which method is best for you and your horse.
Never pick a method that could hurt or harm your horse in anyway.
After you are done with your method, you want your horse to still trust you.
If one method doesn't work, then try and find another one.
It may take time, but you don't want to push your horse, and ending it badly.
You always want your horse to end calmer then the horse did when you first started.
When working with your horse, wear comfortable clothing.
Do not wear shorts or flip flops.
You will not be able to protect yourself, or get away if something happens.
Wear jeans that fit, not baggy or too tight.
Always protect your feet by wearing boots.
I prefer the lace ups.
If something were to happen it is easier for them to cut your laces instead of your boot.
When you are working with your horse, remember to have fun.
When you are having fun, your horse will sense that and they will also enjoy it too.
