Synopsis
When the family goes to Springfield's bimonthly science fiction convention (Bi-Mon-Sci-Fi-Con) Homer saves Mayor Quimby and Mark Hamill from a rioting mob.
Mayor Quimby is impressed, and he makes Homer his bodyguard.
As Homer accompanies Mayor Quimby throughout Springfield, he ignores the scads of bribes Quimby receives. But at a meeting in which Quimby grants Fat Tony the contract for Springfield Elementary's milk concession, Homer is shocked to discover they will sell rat's milk to the children. Homer confronts Quimby. During the scuffle, he accidentally knocks Quimby out the window. While Quimby hangs onto the ledge, he promises Homer he will expose Fat Tony if Homer will save him.
After Quimby exposes Fat Tony, the mobster swears revenge. Homer vows to protect Quimby at all costs. At a production of Guys and Dolls, starring Mark Hamill, Fat Tony has his henchman, Louie, try to kill the mayor. Louie calls attention to himself during a scuffle with Mark Hamill. When Louie tries to stab Mayor Quimby, Homer catches him just in time. A fight ensues. With Hamill's help, Homer wins. But when Homer turns to Mayor Quimby, he sees Fat Tony beating him with a baseball bat.
Instead, he escorts Mark Hamill out of the building.
