Pong game is based on the sport of table tennis (or "ping pong"), and named after the sound generated by the circuitry when the ball is hit.
Pong is the game of ping-pong in which a human player (the ping) interacts with an electronic player (the pong).
A great idea for the Fancy Delphi Application Contest ;-) But wait, we already have Pong by Paul Marvelias! This version is an extension to the previous one with great new features.
Pong - Network Version - Pong On Steroids
From Paul:So, it's gone from something that I threw together on a day where I was suffering from epic boredom, to a pretty awesome game. I'd say that there's the original Pong, Gnop! for mac, and this for windows.
1) Single player - Play against computer
2) Two Player - Play against human on same computer
3) Play over network - Play against human over local area network. Local IP's only; internet play is nonexistent (maybe next version :)) Enter local IP address (that computer must be running the same version of Pong)
Gameplay
Once you're in, click on settings to change tail length, color, points to win, control layout and other awesome stuff.
Right click to pause, Left click to resume. Or use menu.
Click Save game to resume the game later (you can even export scenarios between difficulty and gametype)
Resizing is supported. Even in multiplayer. (Yes, network too. It's really cool)
I tried my best to make the game balanced when resized weirdly. No, it's not perfect but it's pretty good.
