Art lies in the eye of the beholder, an axiom every artist would agree upon.
And art can be conjured from anything.
Scrap metal, pieces of discarded cloth and paper.
You do not have to have landscapes on canvas to be called an artist.
You can begin with something as simple as origami.
Origami is the art of designing paper.
You can twist and turn paper into an animal, piece of furniture, bird or anything in your imagination.
But as a beginner lets do the basic so you get your hands on it.
Firstly you get paper for origami but if you do not want to spend on it then all you have to do is learn to obtain a square paper.
If you have a vertical paper, hold one corner of the paper and diagonally take it, till it reaches the edge of the paper.
Then fold it in the centre and tear off the extra part.
Try a few times before to exact a square.
Let's make a rocket of your first square paper.
Now that you have a diagonal line running right through press it harder with the nail of your thumb.
Now take the end of the paper and hold it till it reaches the centre, then press it down.
Do the same with the other end.
Now you will have something that looks like a triangle from the top.
Turn the page over.
Once again join the ends to the centre.
Now fold the centre downwards.
Turn it over and hold the centre fold in your hand.
Your rocket is ready.
How to make a sail boat? It has only four steps.
Make sure you read and understand the same thoroughly.
First step : Fold your square diagonally and let the ends meet.
Press down the centre so you have a triangle in your hands.
Second step : Hold your triangle with the one point facing up.
Fold the outer ends to the centre, making it look like a smaller square.
Then unfold.
Third step : Fold the tip of the triangle to the bottom.
And fold the outer ends upwards like it was done earlier.
They will easily fold as the creases have already been created.
Now you are holding a small square again.
Fourth step : Now fold the lower tip of the square to the top of the horizontal line created on the other end.
Turn your paper over and you will be holding a ship ready to sail.
As you get your hands on simpler ideas, try doing the difficult ones.
Colour them, paint them and put them around your home.
