When you want something so terribly but, you cannot condition yourself to end the self-sabotaging behaviors that are stopping you from achieving the results you desire; it is time to call on your emotion of fierceness.
One day you may just have enough of the barriers that are stopping you from the living the life of your dreams and say no more and mean it.
This is the day you will reconnect with your raw emotion of fierceness.
For you to achieve your life's purpose you must say goodbye to certain behaviors that hinder you from moving to the next level.
I like to think of this analogy of a faithful dog returning home with numerous bones in the road.
There are bones or obstacles in all of our lives.
It is the smell and texture of the bone that make it almost impossible for the dog to resist.
This bone symoblizes some of our favorite addictions.
Our favorite addiction is the one that seems impossible to move beyond.
This addiction has costs us time and again and we have tried to overcome but, have failed to overcome time and again.
Nonetheless, we must strive again, to get past our addictions.
Our hang-ups or addictions are keeping us from our main tasks at had.
The main task at hand is our life's work on Earth.
Many of us do not know the nature of our deep work.
Some of us know from the moment we can first remember.
Once you find your purpose there is no denying it or forgetting it.
You will know it deep down in your bones, in your soul, and in the essence of who you are.
You will naturally contemplate ways to do your work.
You will cherish the time you have to participate in your work.
You may work at your duties for hours on end and it will feel like minutes have passed.
Do not ever give up on seeking your life's purpose.
Speak to whoever you have to.
Pray, meditate, and ask your higher power to lead answers to you.
There will be many bones in your path.
Please ignore them and move forward.
Remember nothing that has bountiful harvests is ever easy.
Roll up your sleeves and get busy.
Farmers must work the soil, prepare for planting, maintain their machinery, among numerous other tasks to reap the benefits of their crops.
So, it is the same for you and I.
You must put in the time, work, and sweat to have the rewards.
The key is to remember our tasks by wall-papering our minds with mantra that will bring us back to our "true" work at hand.
This is the reason that we should look for role models and study the path that these people have travelled before us.
Role models have blazed a trail to achieved goals that were once just thoughts and have materialized into the physical realm.
Some of my favorite trail blazers are Joe Vitale, Jennifer Nicole Lee, Chris Farrell, James Lee Burke, Marian Keyes, Steven Covey, Napoleon Hill, and Zig Ziglar.
The ultimate role model is Jesus Christ.
He did things that were un-thought of in his day.
He sat with the meekest of society, broke bread with tax collectors, spoke with women of promiscuity, and healed without asking for anything in return changing the course of life on Earth forever with the beginning of a new religion of Christianity.
Remember the analogy of the dog trying desperately to return home.
But, how can the dog just pass up all of those delicious bones on the roadway.
Please do not shame the dog for his weaknesses.
His true desire is to return home to his master.
The master will not punish the dog when he returns home late.
This dog is our inner self always striving and aiming to return to our "true" tasks.
Encourage the dog.
Call for him repeatedly to return home.
Give the dog positive words to keep his chin up and his tail wagging with earnest to return home.
One day the dog will return home.
He has learned to ignore all the bones in the road.
The dog knows when to tell himself no, to focus, and to prioritize.
No time spent learning a lesson is fruitless.
Each is pivotal for the dog to overcome.
The faithful dog will need to have developed all of these skills.
Right when he can almost see his home; there will be a dog catcher.
The dog catcher will pursue the dog.
The dog catcher may even catch the dog in his net and attempt to put him in the back of his van.
Will our dog give in now? He must not.
Our dog must fight, bite, and claw like never before to return to his home.
This is where the fierceness of the dog's psyche comes to the surface.
We too must exhibit our fierceness when it comes to our life's purpose.
The world is not ours.
The world will try to lead you astray, whether it be through self-doubt, bad relationships, and pleasures that will ease the pain momentarily.
These are our bones.
We, like our faithful friend, the dog, must snare our teeth, yelp, and do everything in our power to get away from the dog catcher.
It is time to step up an say I will do whatever it takes to achieve my destiny.
The dog does escape from the catcher.
Even though, the dog is injured he hobbles home.
His master is so happy to see him and tells him, "Welcome home my faithful friend.
I am proud of you.
" The dog tells his master about his journey as his master dresses his wounds.
To live an authentic life is not easy.
You will get lost, find bones along the way, and maybe even return hurt.
At the end of your life's trials and tribulations when you come face to face with your master what will he tell you? Are you fierce enough to carry out your purpose?
