- 1). Light up their night. If your outbuilding has an electrical outlet, all the better. If it does not, you may have to improvise. You will be using lights to make your attic/barn unacceptable to bats.
- 2). Run an extension cord to the building if it is within a short distance, or upstairs to your attic. Or, a battery-run lantern or two will also do the trick. Bats have to have a dark space, and lights will drive them off.
- 3). Use a fan or two with or without the lights, as they cannot tolerate fast-moving air. You should be rid of the bats in a couple of days.
