There are very nice beaches just a few miles outside of Cabo which you can reach via rental car, taxi or the local bus.
If you are on a budget the local bus is great and operates on a reliable schedule.
There so many things to do in Cabo San Lucas that you can be busy morning until night and into the wee hours of the next morning.
However, there is a break in the middle of the day when the siesta is taken.
You might want to experience dining on the sand on the beach under an open canopy or just in the open.

El Squid night club and the famous Cabo Wabo are but a couple of the night spots that are 'jumpin'.
Start your day off at the "Office" a fantastic breakfast restaurant on the beach that is reasonably priced and serves large portions.
Then you may want to go ATV riding over the dunes, horseback riding or take on some water sports activities.
You may finish your breakfast, linger for a while and people watch and then go to a beach and lie down and watch the waves roll in and out.
