How to Save Money on a Kitchen Remodel

    • 1). Get new cabinet doors instead of tearing out the entire cabinet area. Cabinets are probably the most expensive items t replace. In most cases, however, the cabinets are in fine shape, they just look outdated. Simply replacing the doors transforms the look and saves a lot of money on a kitchen remodel.

    • 2). Save on granite counter tops by installing granite tiles instead of 1 solid sheet. This way you can still say you have granite counters, but you can actually install them yourself. Solid granite counters are very expensive to purchase and have installed. In fact, you can even go cheaper, and purchase a laminate counter top that resembles granite in your kitchen remodel.

    • 3). Choose a vinyl flooring pattern that has the look of tile for a kitchen remodel. Most people that walk into our house think our flooring is tile. I am here to tell you that they are wrong. It is simple vinyl flooring that was much less expensive than it looks.

    • 4). Replace accessories. Accessories are things like kitchen faucets, door handles, light fixtures, and cabinet door handles. Even new window treatments can do a lot to make a kitchen remodel look spectacular.
