Tips On How To Improve Your Vision

Your eyes are of great importance to you.
The unfortunate thing is that you tend to develop eye problems as you age.
The cool thing is that you don't have to live your entire life with the eye problems as there are many ways in which you can improve your vision.
Here are some of the ways in which you can improve your vision: Eye Exercises There are many eye exercises that you can use to improve your vision.
These exercises include: Blinking: it's often overlooked, but it's a very effective exercise to help you keep your eyes fresh and able to focus for a long time.
By blinking you get into a brief period of darkness which aids in keeping your eyes fresh.
Blinking also discharges your previous information and gets you ready for new information which helps you to reduce eye strain.
Palming: this one is very effective in relieving stress.
You should lean forward on a desk then close your eyes.
You should then place both of your hands over your eyes for a few minutes and then remove your hands.
Near and far focusing: the cool thing with this one is that you can do it almost anywhere.
To do it you should sit comfortably then put your thumb about 10 inches in front of you.
You should then focus on the thumb until you feel your eyes straining.
You should then place an object 10-20 feet away from you and focus on it.
When your eyes start straining you should change your focus and focus on the thumb.
You should continue changing your focus until you feel tired.
Eat Right The type of food that you eat plays a major role in improving your vision.
For ideal results here are some of the foods that you should eat: Green, leafy vegetables: you need to increase the amount of vegetables that you eat.
Some of the best vegetables to go with are: spinach, kale, broccoli and collard greens.
The main benefit with leafy vegetables is that they contain a lot of carotenoids (lutein and zeaxanthin) which prevent eye deterioration.
The carotenoids also prevent development of cataracts.
Vitamins: beneficial vitamins that you should take are: vitamin E and C.
Of major importance you should take plenty of vitamin E which aids in protecting your retina.
Vitamin E also aids in decreasing the rate of macular degeneration.
Conclusion These are two of the most effective ways of improving your vision.
To ensure that your eyes are healthy you should regularly see your eye practitioner.
