Steps on How You Can Clean a Memory Foam Mattress

Memory foam mattresses can cost more than an arm and a leg.
They are really investments that need to experience your care and love.
But what to do when there are stains in your memory foam and you cannot get it out easily? Let me share to you a step by step procedure on how you can get the stains out of your mattress: Step 1: Soak the mattress through only when needed.
If the stains are only at a certain part, clean that part only.
Use spray bottle to dampen the area affected.
You might want to mix a mild detergent with the water and spray on it.
The detergent should not include any bleaching ingredient as it may damage the mattress.
Step 2: Gently brush the area affected using sponge.
The stains will not easily come off using this but it helps get rid of it a bit.
Scrub gently until the surface stains comes off.
Step 3: To get rid of the inner stains that stubbornly resists the mild detergent, use the baking soda trick.
Just mix a few tablespoons of baking soda with water and mix a one teaspoon of white vinegar.
Soak a clean towel in this mixture and put the towel over the affected area.
Press it down a bit so the mattress can absorb the moisture.
Leave the towel there for about 30 minutes.
Step 4: Remove the towel.
By this time, the stains should have already come off.
Spray it with water and sprinkle dry baking soda on the affected area.
This will help get rid of the vinegar smell and helps dry the inside of the mattress.
Step 5: Vacuum the affected area after a few minutes until all the residues are gone.
Dry it completely using your electric fan or a hair dryer.
You can also use a product called Woolite Fabric Cleaner.
It gets rid of the stains and the smell but not as good as the baking soda.
This is still the best choice as it really gets rid of dirt and grime from almost anything.
Also, purchasing store-bough cleaners can cost you some more money and in this day and age, you need to find more ways to cut back on expenses.
Whatever product you use, never use bleach as this can affect the memory foam mattress.
Pick mold cleansers instead like baking soda as it has neutral pH balance.
