- 1). Purchase a tri-fold project display board. These boards have three sections. The two side sections fold slightly inward, allowing the board to stand vertically on a hard surface. The middle section is larger than the two side sections.
- 2). Explain the process of your science project on the display board. Create a title across the top of the board, and type up your hypothesis, steps and conclusion. Attach these printouts to your board, along with any charts, graphs or illustrations that further explain your project. For more ideas on how to arrange your display board, see the Resources link below.
- 3). Set up your board so it is standing vertically, then place some cardboard boxes of varying heights in front of the display board. Cover these with paper or fabric so that they look nicer.
- 4). Arrange your science project components on the cardboard "stands." Fold a plain index card in half and write a brief explanation of each component, then place the card in front of each item.
- 5). String lights around the display board or table to draw attention to your science project for the judges, if you are displaying this at a science fair.
