How a Corporate can take initiatives for Sustainable Society?

We all understand the importance of healthy environment. Imagine the day without any greens left, can we? Well, we cannot for a very simple reason, we all love greenery and it works like a shield against all manmade odds. After all at the end of the day it is nature that soothes our eyes and soul. This is why everybody is proactively taking steps for keeping the environment clean and green. What is good to see is that along with NGOs and environmentalists, even schools, colleges, societies are coming out to spread the awareness. Our MNCs, corporations, brands, small startups and big ventures too have been doing their bit to keep the environment sustainable.

Employment providers have a big hand in protecting the environment as India's working population accounts to 60%. If they show the enthusiasm and drive to create awareness, it can definitely make a huge difference. Organizations can do this by taking up environment related issues as CSR activities. CSR is Corporate Social Responsibility that a company or an MNC takes for the benefit of its people and the society apart from its core business objectives. Though many corporates have already taken it up as a serious issue and working towards it sincerely, the more organizations come forward; bigger will be the contribution towards sustaining our ecology. Offices can have plants at the reception, conference room and corners; this will not only add life but also bring positivity in the office. HR can also promote the usage of paper bags in a lot of ways. Employees can be taken to places as a fun activity where they plant their favourite plants and trees. Companies can also hold debates and talks on organic farming and how it is spreading like wild fire across different sets of people.

If employment makers take a step forward, give the desired importance to ‘Go Green', ‘Organic farming', earth can be made into a much oxygen filled planet. Through CSR programs, you contribute to the popularity of green products and services as well. These programs can involve planting trees, organic flowers, fruits and vegetables to availing green products and services. One of the other ways could also be to promote usage of the products that are crafted or manufactured without damaging the environment like pumps, motors, fans etc. The fact is when these companies or organizations benefit for their work, they will further build and innovate needs that will assist in sustaining our ecology.
