To get ranked for search engines while advertising for traffic, you will need to start building backlinks from higher ranked websites back to your website.

You could leave your link in your profile in social networking sites, news groups, or blogs of people who allows users to comment on their posts.
You could do it with article marketing where you write articles and submit to article directories like EzineArticles.
