Education is important to help everyone in improving the value system that he/she holds and put them to use. Once, everyone has understood their values in life then can examine and control the various choices they make in their life. One had to frequently uphold the various types of values in his life such as cultural, universal, personal and social values. The family system in India has a long tradition of imparting education but with progress of modernity and fast changing role of the parents it has not been very easy for the parents to impart relevant values in their word. These programs concentrate on the development of the young children, adults etc. focusing on areas like happiness, humility, co-operation, honesty, simplicity, lone, unity, peace etc. According to the oxford dictionary the word education means development of character or mental powers. Education does not mean just bookish knowledge but it means the all round personality development of an individual by imbibing the qualities of honesty, trust, tolerance, integrity and moral values in him. In the trust sense education means the development of once character and mental powers. It is rightly said ‘Education makes a man perfect'. It is education that makes a man civilized. Without education man would be barbarous. Education enlightens, refines and teaches a man the right way to conduct himself. It shapes the intellectual, emotional, moral and spiritual energies in a man. Education teaches the individual the value of independence moreover it urges one to strive for excellence. It is through education one develops a deep rooted concern for the society and above all it brings about a consciousness for universal brotherhood. Ultimately education moulds and nurtures the potential embodies a man by the almighty.
