• 1). Navigate to disqus.com and click "Sign Up."
  
  
• 2). Enter your account details including site name, URL, Disqus short name, Disqus user name, Disqus password and email address and then click "Continue."
  
  
• 3). Navigate to Tumblr and sign into your account. If you have multiple Tumblr blogs, select the one on which you want to use Disqus.
  
  
• 4). Click "Customize Appearance" in the left sidebar.
  
  
• 5). Click "Appearance" and enter your Disqus short name in the provided text box. Click "Save and Close" when you are finished.
