How To Memorize Quickly

Do you have a problem in memorizing and are you looking for ways on how to memorize quickly? Well, there is only one way to be able to do that, and that is by increasing your memory skills. When you improve your memory skills, you will also benefit from being able to remember things with ease. It can be anything from names, dates and occurrences in different places around the globe. We cannot be geniuses, but we can work our way up in little steps. Can you imagine how good it will feel to be able to remember almost everything new you learnt today? Follow the following simple steps and you will no longer imagine, but live the feeling!

#1 Connect something new with what you already know
This is one way through which the brain works: Connecting ideas. If two people have the same characteristics, think "Yes, just like Sarah!" You will always remember that person's name! It is essential to always say it loud as you end up remembering how you heard yourself saying. If you want to memorize long sentences like speeches, always start with something simple that has always been in you mind for a very long time.

#2 Use visualization
Picturing what you are reading about in your mind is an efficient tip on how to memorize quickly. If possible, close your eyes and imagine you are actually touching it. If it is a person or place, imagine them with the specific characteristics they portray. If you found their nose too big, imagine it a few inches wider than in reality. Do you know that you can also visualize speeches? You can write it down in different ink colors and imagine the view. As a result you will remember the color of every point you had to talk about.

#3 Rewrite it
After you visualize information, you can put all sources away and give yourself a few minutes to relax. After that, take a plain paper and a pen then write all that you see in your mind. You can do that as you say it loud too. This is what gets information to your mind permanently.

#4 Make it fun
Have you ever realized how easy it is to remember a funny incidence than it is to remember a boring day with nothing other than the usual? Well, apply the same to your reading and crack jokes about the shape of the cells or whatever it is you are trying to memorize. As a result, that incidence will always be in your mind…you may live to remember it for the rest of your life.

#5 Avoid cramming
Most people mistake this for memorizing. What they do not know is that information crammed will soon be forgotten unlike information that is memorized slowly. Repeat things four times a day while taking breaks and you will have it at your finger tips.

Follow the steps described above on how to memorize quickly, and sure enough you will be among the best every one will wish to have.
