Petite, purple, and pearls - Nothing beats a sparkling pair of chandelier earrings, but sometimes, they can be a little over-the-top for everyday wear. My solution? Scale them down a little. Read on to find out the materials you'll need and step to follow to make these cute little chandelier earrings you can wear every day.
Chandelier Earring Materials
With these beads and components furnished by Fire Mountain Gems and Beads, I designed a pretty pair of chandelier earrings that still have lots of sparkle, but because of their smaller size, I feel comfortable wearing them just about any place, even to the grocery store.
You'll need:
2 Eurowires (with ball & loop #4319FN)
2 Sterling chandelier components (#8667FN)
6 -1" sterling head pins
12 - 3mm bicone amethyst-colored crystal beads
6 - 3-4mm freshwater pearls
Round-nosed pliers
Chain-nosed pliers
Wire cutters
1. Being by slipping on 1 crystal bead, one pearl, and another crystal bead onto a head pin.
2. Then use round-nosed pliers to create a simple loop at the top of the head pin, making sure not to close the loop all the way. If necessary, use wire cutters to trim off extra head pin.
3. Repeat the steps above two more times so that you have three bead head pins with loops.
4. Now, attach the three head pins to the three loops on the end of one of the chandelier components.
5. Use chain-nosed pliers to gently close the loops of the head pins.
6. Now take one of your Eurowires and use round-nosed pliers to gentle open the loop on the wire.
7. Attach the top loop of your component onto the Eurowire, and use bent-nosed pliers to close the ear wire loop back so it closes around the component.
8. Repeat all of the above steps to make another earring so you have a matching pair.
