If you have been thinking about the Battle Strikers Tournament Set then you should read this review so that you will find out about what another parent thinks of war and battle game.
Battle Strikers are based on the classic battling tops theme of games toys.
The basic set comes with all the gear to help you get started - 2 Spinning Tops, 2 Launchers, the Arena and you get 2 hand held Control Units.
On the crown of the Spinning Tops are embedded 4 magnets.
These magnets line up with 4 corresponding magnets on the under side of the Launcher.
To make the Tops spin, you have to attach the top to the Launcher and you then pull the trigger to make it rev up.
You have to hit the top of the Launcher with your other hand to jump the top into the battlefield arena.
They fit snugly in your hand and you plug the Battle Striker Top into the controller, pull the trigger to spin it and then release it into the battlefield arena for your mini war.
You wear a little Magnext Controller over your fingers and this exerts magnetic control over your spinning Top in its battle mode.
With several battles practice, kids can get their Battle Strikers Top to spin on the spot and then move off in any direction.
You can send your Battle Strikers smashing into an opponent's striker Top or dodge it out of the way.
If you get very close to the strikers, you can literally feel a vibrating sensation in your fingers as the three outer magnets spin past you in the battle arena.
You would be very wise to take the utmost care with this toy game! The striker tops spin very fast during battles, they have hard protruding edges, and on occasions they jump out of the arena particularly if you are operating them on a hard surface such as ceramic tiles or polished wood.
The best recommendation is to place the battle arena on a carpeted surface if you can.
This will help to absorb most of the shock during the battles.
This battle toy game can be great fun.
The modular format requires a lot of learning for kids at the start.
But after they experiment for a while they will soon get the hang of it.
You will find that there are many, many hours of enjoyment to be had for your young, and not so young, family members.
The Spinning Battle Tops are not very expensive and they will be very handy for you if you need to get impromptu presents for special occasions such as a birthday or indeed any other surprise event.
