How to Get Rid of Headaches & Fatigue

    Instructions

    • 1). A good diet promotes physical and mental enhancement. Eat healthy foods regularly. Avoid excess caffeine. Drinking caffeine moderately may help reduce headaches, but heavy usage---more than four cups a day---can increase irritability and actually cause headaches. Avoid excess alcohol, which can affect daily activities and bring on headaches.

    • 2). Exercise at least three times a week for 20 to 30 minutes. It can be something as simple as walking or cycling. This helps you throughout the day because physical activity blocks pain signals to the brain, according to researchers at the Mayo Clinic.

    • 3). Control stress levels that can trigger fatigue and headaches. Manage your time at work and at home, staying positive and taking breaks when necessary.

    • 4). Make sure you have good posture wherever you are sitting. Poor posture can have a negative effect on the whole body, causing strain that can lead to headaches.

    • 5). Sit or lie down and relax in a quite place when you feel overwhelmed by fatigue.

    • 6). Drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep the body cool and fight off headaches.

    • 7). Get plenty of sleep. Try to relax before bedtime, whether it is reading or some other quiet activity to help you dose off. Using medications late at night may interfere with sleep patterns.
