Remove Moss From Your Lawn

What is moss?
Simply put moss is a plant that thrives on moisture and is a real danger to lawns because if it is allowed to expand, it can overtake a lawn, smother the grass and cause it to deteriorate. No one wants a tired looking lawn hosting smashed and lifeless grass. So if your lawn suffers from moss invasion here are some helpful tips aimed at permanent moss removal.

Before you get rid of moss you should know what's caused it in the first place. If you have a drainage problem you typically have a lawn that is overly moist which by definition attracts moss. Also, if you tend to like a low cut grass, moss will feed on grass that has lost its vigor.

To rid your lawn of moss, try shopping for products that offer weed removal as they can also be adept moss removers. However, this only solves the current moss problem and as mentioned above a more serious issue is causing your moss infestation. To resolve the real issue, try aerating, identifying shaded areas of lawn, remove thatch and always cut your grass to a healthy height. If you want to be rid of moss for good lawn maintenance is essential.
