A charcoal-grill is great for big gatherings. Only one grill is enough to serve everyone present and maybe little leftovers. But what if, that gathering has only a few individuals? Utilizing a charcoal-grill for light-cooking can be a waste of both charcoal and time. Many mini-charcoal-grills are being sold in the market but most of them are positioned close to the ground. If only there's a grill to cook for few people and utilizes half the amount of charcoal that usual grills use. As a solution, the Char-Griller Patio Pro Charcoal Grill was created. This baby is a mini-charcoal-grill that is specifically used for light-cooking and is fixed high above the ground.
All the pieces for the grill are neatly positioned in the box. Every piece was applied with oil to keep everything in good condition. Assembling this grill is not as simple as one would think. Since assembling this grill is very involved, the instruction manual is unfortunately useless. Fortunately though, assembling the grill is the only problematic experience with this grill. The manufacturer requires the cast-iron grates to first be surfaced with vegetable oil and heated to 300degrees for 2hours to remove any remaining factory oil. Another trick to burn up the factory oil is to fill the grill to the lip with charcoal and allow it to burn. Using the air ventilation system, the fire can be controlled to equally spread the heat. The cast-iron grate easily gets hot so lesser charcoal is required and cooking-time is faster. A wooden tray is available to rest grilling tools and ingredients; it even has capacity to support heavy things. Hooks that can be screwed on the Char-Grill are provided to hang cooking tools for better storage. For clean-up, the charcoal tray box easily slips out so ashes can be quickly disposed.
Overall, the Char-Grill Patio Pro Charcoal Grill is an excellent product and the stand doesn't move. As an added bonus, the grill has wheels to easily move it.
