Spots are lesions of the skin which are usually caused due to blocked pores or infected skin.
These will tend to occur if you've been getting white heads or blackheads for a time and they are now spreading by themselves.
If a breakout occurs this is known as acne.
If your spots ever break out and become acne, you need to treat them as soon as possible.
It is very much like a challenge to beat the clock because the faster you can stop them in their tracks, the higher chance you have that you will be able to get rid of them.
Plus, if you just ignore acne it can result in you having acne scars for life.
Over 80% of all teenagers will get acne at some time in their adolescence.
This is almost always because their skin is adjusting to the increased amount of hormones which are being produced at this time.
Girls will tend to get their acne whilst they are in their menstrual cycles, whilst boys will get their acne at times when their hormones are at their highest.
When it comes to treating spots, there are a few things that you can do.
The first thing you should be doing is keeping very clean.
You should not have any kind of dirt or filth making it's way into your pores or else that can cause an outbreak.
So aim to clean your face at least a few times a day making sure you give any infected area a light scrub.
You should only use pure water or a little baby soap.
Don't scrub the areas too hard or else you'll take all the natural oil off your face resulting in dry skin.
This can then lead to a big outbreak of acne.
You can however, buy creams that have been created using specific ingredients which restore the natural balance of your skin.
These should also help you to get rid of some spots and treat the infected area.
The most important thing in my opinion, is not to attempt to "treat" the acne yourself.
If you squeeze your spots it's far more lightly that you'll end up pushing the sedum under the skin which will force it to come up in multiple places in a week or two.
