Flights are constantly overbooked in the USA and being bumped from a flight even though you booked it well in advance is very common.
While I was on vacation in Las Vegas I arrived at the Airport for my flight back home to the UK.

I really was not interested in that, my vacation was over and I just wanted to get home.
But when I found out that the airlines was offering $300 compensation plus a hotel room for the night and transfer I jumped at it.
The hotel was an airport hotel so I was not going far but I had just pocketed $300 just for the inconvenience of flying the next day.
As far as I was concerned I was getting my flights for my original vacation for free and if it happened again I would be first in the queue to get bumped.

You will find these in the Yellow Pages under flight couriers and airline couriers.
All you are doing is taking a package from your home Country to another one.
You get return flights though you can change the return flight if you wish so you can have a vacation.
As long as the package is delivered on time the courier Company is happy with that.
The only downside to this free flight plan is you will have to stump up a fairly large deposit which you will get refunded on your return.
This is just a little insurance for the courier Company should you decide to forfeit the delivery of the package.
Just make sure the Company you will be delivering the package for is reputable and you have a legally binding contract.
Airmiles are another way to get free flights.
You can get airmiles through major supermarkets, petrol stations, retailers and even by paying your utility bills on time.
You accumulate points on their rewards cards and then redeem them for airmiles.
You can also accumulate them yourself by flying frequently.
If you don't fancy doing any of these then you have a third option.
Buy paper airmiles from the online auction web sites.
This is big business and although you have to bid for the airmiles vouchers it is possible to fly for free in some cases, it all depends on the amount of airmiles you get and how you use them.
Many holiday Companies offer free flights providing you book a hotel through the same Company.
The flights will also be on the same Companies fleet and they will make their money on the backend as you pay and spend money at the hotel.
Ask your travel agents for any current free flight offers.
Some airlines also offer free air miles when you book long haul flights.
