Colors TV is breathing in new life to its shows to gain the strong foot hold it once had. Twists are being added to old shows or they are being revamped to give them a modern contemporary feel. New shows with out-of-the-box concepts are being launched.
Uttaran, one of the highest grosser for Colors TV for more than 4 years recently completed 1000 episodes. Apart from a grand party compete with cake, music dance & fun, the celebrations will also see the comeback of Rashmi Desai Sandhu, popularly known as "Tapayasa" after her screen name. Rashmi had opted out as she was not comfortable playing mother to someone her own age owing to the generation leap that took place few months ago. This time she comes as Tej's (Kiran Karmarkar) wife and not Rathore's (Gaurav Chopraa). The makers have now decided to take the story on a flashback mode. The story will now narrate what happened between Rathore and Tapasya in the past. The reason as to why they went missing 18 years ago will be revealed and also why Tapasya never returned with Rathore. The flashback sequence will be aired soon.
Next on the revamp list is India's as well as Asia's biggest talent show India has got Talent-season 4.The finals scheduled to be held this Saturday has been planned to be a grand affair. The episode will be graced by Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif & Anushka Sharma as a part of the promotion of their film Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Malaika Arora Khan who was a judge in the auditions of this season will sizzle the stage with some killer dance moves to her popular numbers. While it's a great opportunity for all Malaika fans to see her groove to the beats, host Cyrus Sahukar will be the lucky man to dance with her. The lucky finalists include Sumanth & Sonali from Bivash Academy of Dance, Orissa; Deepraj Rai, an 11 year old singer from Sikkim; Diplav Cultural Dance Group, a bunch of young ladies whose talent is to do folk dance with a stack of lamps on their head & lastly Acrobatic Boys. These boys coming from economically backward regions of the country and perform skillful stunts.The winner receives a whopping sum of 5 million rupees (equivalent to approximately US$105,000) and a Maruti Suzuki Ritz. But to spice it up even more the makers have planned a few wild-card entries. Model & actress Mink Brar and reality TV star Vishal Karwal have already entered the Big Boss House. Karishma Kotak who will come back after the demise of her father will enter the house this week.
