- 1). Call the Jackson Demonstration Forest Ranger Station at 707-964-5674 to make sure that the campground will be open and to let the ranger know you will camping there.
- 2). Drive to the camp with your tent or RV. The campground is found by taking Highway 20 to Forest Road 350 and following Forest Road 350 to the dead end. Meet with the camp host to be assigned a campsite. The campsite is free.
- 3). Set up camp. Place your camp table, chairs, sleeping bag, tent or RV around your campsite.
- 4). Set up your fire ring and start a fire as evening falls using the firewood and matches or lighter that you brought.
- 5). Cook a meal over the campfire. Be sure to bring enough food and water to last for your planned stay. No stores are available near the campground.
- 6). Use the pit toilet at the campsite if needed, but be sure to have your toiletry supplies with you as the restroom facilities are very spartan and provide no toiletry supplies at all.
- 7). Hike the trails and fish where allowed in the river. Take some time to unwind and enjoy nature.
