The place is always buzzing with activities and there are stores around the square from where one can pick up trinkets and other kind of stuff to back home.
Persepolis:
A throne of the Jamshid, this place is a magnificent place built around 512 BC and has survived being burnt to the ground in 331 BC. The ruins of the place are what we see today, which have been preserved and restored as it were back then. The first thing that you see as you step into this palace is the Xersxes' Gateway, which is very huge and has detailed carvings on it.
Choqa Zambil:
When a person drives down to this place, they will be surprised to view the sheer size of the desert and the monument called Choqa Zambil standing tall in the place. It is one of the most famous UNESCO's world heritage sights and preserved by the Government for tourists. The ziggurat at this place is a proof of the marvelous construction that is exclusive to Iran, and found nowhere else in the entire world.
Kharanaq and Qajar-Era Mosque:
The exact fun is in getting to this place rather than at the venue itself. The drive from Yazd winds around loops and quiet long stretches of never-ending beautiful roads. Some parts of the village is said to be over 1000 years old. The main focal point here is the Qajar-Era Mosque, built somewhere in the 17th century and today being restored. For more adventure, one can walk from the village to about 250 meters down the valley to an ancient well kind of structure, which was built to provide water to the field around that area.
Iran Cultural Tour is a feast to the traveler's eye, where the colors are popping contrasts everywhere, the red roofs, gold columns, rainbow-tinted windows, blue tile interiors, no less. In all essence, this tour will awaken an underlying sense of adventure in you. Whatever you choose or taste, you will find it absolutely rewarding.
