2 Person Tent – The Ideal Hiking Tent

A 2 person tent is the ideal tent to take hiking. When you're planning to go hiking across miles of wild terrain, you need to know that the equipment you have is the best for you. Discover why a 2 person tent can be the perfect hiking tent for you.

When you go hiking, everything you take with you and everything you need to survive is carried in a camping rucksack on your back. Everything has to fit in it, clothes, food, sleeping bag, and the rest of your camping equipment. Even if you have these items strapped to the outside of your rucksack, you still have to carry them. Wherever you go, they are going with you €" even your tent.

Choosing the right tent to take with you is essential. Not only do they have to protect you from the elements, they have to be light in weight so as not to slow you down. If your tent is too heavy, you will find yourself struggling to carry it as well as all your other essential gear.

A 2 person tent is ideal for this. Most modern tents, especially the smaller ones, have been designed to make the lives of hikers and travellers easier. 2 man tents are small in size and basic in design. You can usually find these in the category of Dome tents, Tunnel tents, or Pop Up tents. These styles are the most popular with hikers because of their features. They are light in weight, easy and quick to pitch, and are guaranteed to provide you shelter against the elements.

The poles of these modern tents are made from flexible fibre glass. This gives them the flexibility they need, and the lightness that is required. Also, modern dome tents and tunnel tents only consist of a minimum of two poles. These can break down and be folded up into a manageable sized pack. And the material of the tent can be rolled up with these and enclosed in a handy carry bag that can be attached to any camping rucksack.

A 2 man tent is one of the smallest and lightest of tents, sometimes only weighting in at 3kg. They are easy and hassle free for any hiker. So if you're planning on hiking across those wild terrains, and looking to make your load as light as possible, then a 2 person tent is the tent for you.
