Moving to Greensboro, you might think that there is a lack of things to do, nowhere to go, no fun to be had.
But, after searching high and low for the best entertainment in Greensboro, I think I have compiled a list of the top attractions and destinations for new, and current, residents of our lovely city.
Greensboro is big, and there are a ton of great places I had no idea where here! 1.
Wet & Wild, Emerald Pointe - In the time that I have lived in Greensboro, it seems that Wet & Wild Emerald Pointe has been a well-kept secret.
I have seen no advertisements, no news, and no talk of this great water park right in our back yard! With summer upon us, and the kids out of school in the coming weeks, Wet & Wild is a great day trip right in the city! I highly recommend grabbing a season pass, or taking advantage of the awesome deals for family packages.
2.
Greensboro Grasshoppers - Love baseball? Well right downtown you might have noticed the huge baseball field for the Greensboro Grasshoppers, a minor league MiLB baseball team right downtown! The Grasshoppers seem to be playing often, and it is a great outing to head over to the field, grab some cracker jacks, and enjoy America's pastime! 3.
Greensboro Coliseum - The coliseum may not be much of a secret, but it sure is worth mentioning! The Coliseum hosts tons of events throughout the year, from concerts to sports, and grabbing a schedule and planning an night out to see your favorite band may be just what you need this summer! 4.
Carolina Theatre - Love live theater? Maybe want to catch a classic movie one night with the family? Carolina Theatre hosts many events and performances throughout the year, and usually weekly the theatre has an affordable movie for the whole family to enjoy! There is never a shortage of fun, and the venue is right downtown, making it accessible to everyone in the Triad area! 5.
Lakes of Greensboro - Enjoy fishing? Boating? Kayaking? Sailing? The abundance of lakes here in the Triad gives you access to all the water fun you can imagine, without having to travel to the coast! There are three major lakes here in the Triad, Lake Townsend, Lake Brandt, and Lake Higgins.
Each of the destinations offers plenty of fishing, boating, and relaxation.
Enjoy our fresh water lakes throughout the spring and summer!
