Prevent Ovarian Cysts: Put An End To Ovarian Cysts Now And For Good

Many women experience functional ovarian cysts at some point in their lives. They are seldom harmful but they can become very painful and taking just a few precautionary steps to prevent ovarian cysts is something everyone can and should do.

A functional ovarian cyst is a pocket of fluid that forms when the follicle that normally releases an egg during your monthly cycle does not function properly. Instead the egg is not released and the follicle seals off but keeps growing and becomes a cyst.

It is not uncommon to be unaware of a cyst and they often clear up on their own. Occasionally, however, under the right circumstances, a functional cyst is capable of disrupting your menstrual cycle and causing abdominal pain.

There are several steps you can take to help prevent ovarian cysts and thus avoid any potential painful problems with them in the future. Hormones fluctuate throughout a woman's monthly cycle. These hormones are a necessary part of the cycle and although they sometimes cause us to feel moody and edgy they are what keep the reproductive cycle working correctly.

Hormones, however, can become imbalanced and this will make you more susceptible to developing functional cysts. Taking a few steps to correct a hormonal imbalance and then keeping it in balance can help prevent ovarian cysts. This is the reason many doctors prescribe birth control pills to women who are diagnosed with cysts on their ovaries.

Birth control pills help keep your hormone levels in balance but they have many unwanted side effects as well. The good news is that there are natural ways to prevent ovarian cysts without the unwanted side effects. Understanding what triggers a hormone imbalance can help you find a cure that works for you.

There are two primary culprits that cause hormone balances in the body. They are an improper diet and excessive toxins and they are intertwined. A poor diet can cause the buildup of toxins which will then throw your hormones out of balance.

Correcting this situation to prevent ovarian cysts is a two step process.
First, a detoxification program will help eliminate the toxins that have already built up in your body. This will make you feel better, boost your immune system and make you healthier.

Once your body is rid of the toxins, making essential changes to your diet will help keep it that way and will prevent any future build up of toxins. A diet that consists of foods high in sugar and simple carbohydrates will adversely affect the proper functioning of your body. Preservatives in processed foods leave toxins in your body that have a negative impact on hormone balance. By eliminating the toxins and eating a healthy, well balance, nutritious diet you will not only feel better but it will help prevent ovarian cysts from forming.

Eat a diet that is high in fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and small amounts of organic meats and dairy foods. Eliminate refined sugar and processed foods and drink plenty of water. Avoid microwaving your foods in plastic and drinking from plastic bottles.

Mineral oil and perabens found in skin care products should be avoided as well. Use only natural soaps and detergents if you can. Overall, you can successfully prevent ovarian cysts by keeping your body healthy and your hormones in balance by making just a few small, but impacting changes in your lifestyle.
