These five simple steps can be followed in order to build self confidence and boost your enjoyment of yourself and your communication with others.
It does not require thousands of pounds, only a commitment to practicing some simple steps in order to create and instill a new way of thinking.

Surround yourself with encouraging and upbeat people.
The friends that you hang around with tend to influence your attitude and outlook toward things; by keeping the company of already very confident or people you will naturally take on some of this confidence.
Self confident people are generally able to handle demanding situations a lot more effectively than people who are less confident and they also tend to be much more encouraging.

Take risks.
Try something different.
By building self esteem you will naturally get a boost to try out different things, Completing new challenges and goals you'll increase your self esteem further.

Always think positive thoughts about yourself.
Whether you're good at listening to people, you're organised, kind or helpful, maybe even all of these.
By reminding yourself of these things every day you will help yourself believe it, and become a more confident you.

By doing this you are showing yourself what your strengths are, and helping to put your weaknesses into perspective.

Do something that you excel in.
Whether it is cooking, gardening, climbing, painting, writing, singing...
whatever it is that holds your attention and allows you to get into that state of 'flow' where all else is forgotten and you can focus on you.
By doing something you are good at you'll feel more competent and accomplished straight away and these are great antidotes to boost your confidence.
