It's time for me to come clean on my experiences on trying to find a money making internet business.
I started looking for ways to make money on the internet about two years ago, shortly after the birth of our son Brodie.
There were several reasons for looking for an internet based business, but it all boiled down to losing the second income that my wife ( Mel ) provided, as we made a family decision that meant Mel staying home to tend to our first child while I worked.
That made it tough for us financially as we'd just completed our first home, which was exciting but it came with a big mortgage.
So the search for online success had begun.
The beginning So I've already told you I started looking for money making internet business two years ago.
So you might ask "how much money have you made?" "are you rich and successful?" and my answer to those questions would be "Not much!" and "NO!".
Then your next question I assume would be why? Well when I first started out I was desperate and a perfect candidate for the thousands of money making internet business and get rich overnight scams.
I'm the first one to admit that I thought it would happen overnight and it was easy, after all if you just paid the one time offer price of $76 all you have to do is sit back and watch your money making internet business grow into thousands of dollars per month, right? Wrong! After a few of these I eventually give up and instead watched my credit card dept grow.
So by failing to make any money I joined 99% percent of people looking for a money making internet business, cheated out a few hundred hard earned dollars for no return.
If we fast forward to the present day ( March 2010 ).
We now have two kids, even less money and the credit card dept is still there.
So at the start of the year I find myself once again looking for a money making internet business, this time determined not to fail.
Once again I've lost a few hundred dollars with not much return.
So where am I going wrong, I'm falling into the same trap I did two years ago.
The biggest mistake I was making was not being in the right frame of mind to succeed.
Here I was still thinking I'll be rich overnight.
So I've decided it's time to step back, tack a deep breath and take more proven methods to my new money making internet business.
That means hard work, research and most importantly a realistic time frame for my business to grow.
So from here my journey to a successful money making internet business starts.
From this day forward I will be planning a steady long term approach to my business using some of the free resources that the internet provides.
Everything will be documented in my blog in the hope to provide a community for people to learn by my mistakes and to learn from those who have "been there, done that.
