When you decide to set out on a safari ensure that you have atleast 5 days in hand. Masai Mara ia world famous and the most popular reserve in Kenya. Others being Samburu; Amboseli; Lewa, Lake Victoria;
Aberdare; and Tsavo.
Masai Mara on the Great African Rift Valley is flanked by the Ngama Hills on the East, Oloololo Escarpment in the West, Mara Triangle and the Central Plains. The Mara region on the banks of River Mara with its vast tracts of Serengeti grasslands is the scene of the famous annual wildebeest migration.

The park is home to more than hundred and forty seven mammal species; of course that includes the African Big five. The region is also home to the endangered African Wild Dog.
The rivers that flow within the park are home to more than thirty three recorded species of amphibians. This is where you are likely to spot the Zambesi shark and the much written about Bull Shark.
