The Carnival Freedom arrives in Venice, Italy, following a short voyage from the Italian Fincantieri shipyard March 3, 2007. The 22nd vessel for U.S.-based Carnival Cruise Lines is 952 feet long, has 1,487 staterooms, a 13,300-square-foot health club and wireless Internet throughout the entire vessel. Carnival Freedom began a series of Mediterranean and Greek Isle cruises on March 5, before being repositioned to Miami for Caribbean voyages starting November 17.
