Now, how much do you pay for child care? The national average is right around $150 a week and the majority of families with children in daycare have two children.
So deduct $300 from your weekly paycheck.
We're down to $700 a week.
What kind of car do you have and how far do you drive to work? Most people fill up their car with gasoline once a week, and that costs most people about $70.
Add wear and tear to the car and make it an even $100.
Lunches and the occasional breakfast and the weekly potluck and a couple of dollars a day at the snack machines are another $100.
We're down to earning $500 a week now.
You can still deduct work clothes and dry cleaning, the monthly birthday gift you have to contribute to, etc.

So, if you could make $500 a week, would you consider that a successful home based business? Probably not.
How about the $1,000 per week that you are making now? Would you consider that a successful home based business? We're getting closer.
